Marshmallow is Here... From GOOGLE...
Google's latest "sweet treat" name for its mobile operating system is the safe and predictable choice.
Every year, Google names its next version of Android after a sweet treat, working its way through the alphabet from A to Z. Typically, the company announces it either the day it launches a new product, or in a cleverly-written blogpost. This year, we found out about the next version of Android through Twitter first.
Google unveiled the statue for Android Marshmallow at its Mountain View headquarters this morning. The statue is a green Android figurine holding a giant marshmallow. Honestly, we were expecting a mascot along the lines of the Stay Puft marshmallow man.
Here's a little sample of some of the features that await you in Android Marshmallow, based off the developer preview.
